David Harold MacGregor, age 65, of Minneapolis, suddenly passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. David was retired with a 30 year career at the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Dave was known as a passionate coach for many young men at local northeast Minneapolis parks. He was a father figure that kids could count on and help them to grow into men. 

David was preceded in death by parents, Harold and Betty MacGregor; father-in-law, Patrick McCarthy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Mary E.; two sons, Hal (Ashley) and Mitch; granddaughter, Evelyn and grandson, Reid; sister, Nancy (Jim ) Jenks; mother-in-law, Anita; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends; best dog ever, "Geno."

Celebration of Life on Thursday, February 23rd at Elsies Event Center 4:30-8:30 p.m. with tribute and stories at 6:30 p.m.
