Velann Andersen

Anderson, Velann K. age 60 of Minneapolis peacefully passed on August 24​ , 2020 at
the HCMC Hospital in Minneapolis. No immediate service is planned.
Velann was the daughter of Jens and Dorotha (Zehm) Andersen, born on January 26th, 1960 in Blue Earth, MN. Velann graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1978 and Rochester Vocational School. Velann worked in Hennepin County Court Administration working as a hearing officer. Velann loved her cats, Smitty, Precious, Honey, and Lily, sitting on the deck watching the birds and enjoying her flowers. She was an active member in the City-County Chorus and Northeast Chorale. She also loved travelling the US and other counties, including cruises. She dearly enjoyed the company of family, friends, and co-workers.
She is survived by her sisters, Elaine (and Earl) Johnson of Brainard, Linda (and Roger) Joyce of Merrifield, and Debbie Mostrom of Faribault. Brothers Sylvan of Redwing, Steve of Honea Path, SC, and by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and friends.
Velann was preceded in death by her parents.
