Tammy Dunagan Obituary

Tammy Lynn Dunagan, 57, passed away at her home on July 17, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Tammy was born on August 5, 1965, in Whitehall, Wisconsin to Edmund and Virginia Kotlarz. Tammy graduated from Arcadia High School in 1983.

          In 1984, Tammy began her 39-year career with State Farm Insurance, beginning as a secretary in the Rochester, MN claims office. In 1995, Tammy moved to the Twin Cities area when State Farm opened a Claims Litigation Counsel Office in St. Paul, MN. Tammy was the office manager at the firm at the time of her passing.

          On October 14, 1995, she married Bill Dunagan at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Simpson, MN. After their marriage, Bill and Tammy made their home in Shoreview, MN, where they raised their four children.

          Tammy loved spending time with family and friends, reading, traveling to warm places (San Diego being her favorite), cheering for the Green Bay Packers and any Wisconsin Badger team, and watching her children participate in their sporting events. She also took up running as an adult and completed a few marathons.

          Tammy is survived by her husband Bill; children Kendall, Kiana, Nick, and Brendan; brothers Dan (Sharon) Kotlarz of Arcadia, WI; Gary (Doris) Kotlarz of Dakota, MN; sisters Kathy (Peter) Konkel of Independence, WI; Cheryl (Larry) McDonald of Black River Falls, WI. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Edmund and Virginia and brother Doug.

          A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 17th, from 12pm - 5pm at the Van Oorts home, 11 Oriole Lane, North Oaks, MN.
