Robert Taillefer, of Columbia Heights, MN, died peacefully on May 11, 2018. “Bob,” was known for kindness, generosity, and humor.
He grew up near Lake Johanna, and was an over-the-road driver and Teamster. He met Barbara Reynolds while she was a car hop, and he a teenager on a motorcycle. They celebrated 50 years of marriage in 2005.
Bob and Barb volunteered with East Side Services, were part of the Harley Owner’s Group, and helped found “The Electraglides” motorcycle club. Bob was a photographer, musician, and member of “The Polka Jacks,” “The Jolly Pipers,” and “Just Bob.”
Survived by son Wayne, daughter Cindy, grandchildren, Travis, Jermaine (Larry), Robert (Jessica), David and Isaak; and eight great grandchildren. Preceded by wife Barbara, son Joseph, and two great grandchildren.
Service 12:00 p.m. Friday May 18, at Billman Hunt, 2701 Central Avenue, Minneapolis, MN, lunch following. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Union Gospel Mission or East Side Services of Minneapolis.
