The Bettie & Kerkula family announces with profound sadness and deep sorrow, the passing of Grace Elizabeth Bettie at the age of 9 (nine). This tragic event occurred on June 27th, 2018 on a summer day camp sponsored by Moorhead Police Summer Youth Program at the Buffalo River State Park Minnesota.
Grace was a student at Ellen Hopkins Elementary.

Grace (Gracie) as she was affectionately called. She was always happy, full of life and laughter. Everyone who came across Gracie loved and adored her.

She leaves to mourn her Mother, Freedom Kerkula, Great Grand Parents, Bonlokor Banda, John Bettie (Bernice Bettie) Jayjeh Bettie, Julia Bettie (Predeceased) Aunts & Uncle, Delia Kerkula, Genevieve Kerkula Giddings (Oliver Giddings), Patience Kerkula Link, (Troy Link) Joanna Kerkula, Kermah (Kelme Kermah). Grand Mother Shirley Bettie, Grand Father, Manston Kerkula, Grand Aunts & Uncles, Memmie Peal, Jonathan Bettie (Mamie Bettie) Williette Bettie, Julia Bettie, Florence Bettie, Kederick Bettie (Kulee Bettie) John Bettie, Shederick Bettie (Teebeh Bettie) Edwin Bettie, Wilbert Bettie (Adrianna Bettie), Adolphus Bettie, Emmanuel Bettie, Harrietta Bettie Bassar (Phillip Bassar), Satta Bettie, Fula Sunday, Mama Sunday. Grace was the only child of her Mother-Freedom. She is survived by cousins, and a host of relatives and friends. Even though we don't have you anymore, we still have you in our hearts, so we can be more like Grace. May you rest in Abraham’s Bosom and light perpetual shine upon you. Rest in perfect peace.
