Gerry Y. Machowicz

Machowicz, Geraldine “Gerry” of NE Minneapolis passed away on 3/9/2019 her 87th birthday. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Don. Gerry is survived by daughters, Mary Jo (David) Nye and Lynn Machowicz; granddaughter, Kayla and many other loving family and friends. She was a longtime advocate of helping others by fundraising for numerous charities including the Greater Lake Country Food Bank, St. Catherine University, the Carmelite Hermits of Avery, WI, and St. Charles Borromeo School. She received a medal of honor for her fundraising from Congressman Jim Ramstad. It was Gerry’s wish to have a memorial mass to celebrate her life. It will be held at Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel on Monday, March 18 at 11:00 am with visitation one hour before. Private interment with family at Ft. Snelling Cemetery in Spring 2019.
