Gerald Hagen

Gerald Anthony " Festus " Hagen, age 72, passed away Wednesday May 10th, at the Minneapolis Veterans Hospital.  Jerry, a Vietnam veteran, received a Silver Star,  a Purple Heart, and a Medal of Commendation for bravery and distinguished service.  Jerry was a graduate of Dunwoody Institute, an electrician, and a proud member of IBEW local 292, with some renown as "Festus" among his many Union member friends. Jerry was fiercely loyal and stood his ground for principles he believed in. He was preceded in death by father, Sidney; and brothers, Donald and David. He is survived by wife, Mary Kay; daughters Ginny and Trisha and their children, mother Marcella, sister Jody; nephews, Steven, Sidney, and Joseph; and their children. He has joined them with our everlasting love.A Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday June 8th with visitation 1 hour prior, at the Billman-Hunt Funeral Home, 2701 Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis.
