Anthony James Wajda, "Papa Tony,"
of Northeast Minneapolis, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018. He was 70 years old. Class of 1966 DeLaSalle High School.
Tony organized sporting events (softball, broomball, and touch football) tournaments and games through his family business, "Joe's Place." Tony traveled to Las Vegas where he worked at the 4 Queens at the craps table. He was also an avid card player and tournament player lucky enough to win several tournaments.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Antoinette.
He is survived by his son, Aaron; daughter, Alisha (Erik) Fortier; grandchildren, Brayden and Emily; siblings: Joseph, Larry, Jim, Barb, Andy, Ron, Don (Patti); many nieces and nephews; other loving family and friends.
Visitation 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21st at Billman~Hunt Funeral Chapel.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22nd at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with gathering at 10:00 a.m.
