Thomas Dwaine Elwell, of Coon Rapids, formerly of Fridley, MN, died peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2017 following a short and courageous battle with cancer. He was 81 years old.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joanne; daughter, Therese (Lochi) Munasinghe; sons: Steven, John (Coreen), Mike (Gina), Mark Elwell; grandchildren: Stephen, Shane, Kevin, Steven, Thomas, Nichole, Parker, Chase, Jacob and Alec; great-grandchildren, Leyla and Quinn; sister, Maria Cahill; sister-in-law, Bonnie (Virgil) Brenny; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th at Billman~Hunt Funeral Chapel with Prayer Service at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26th at Church of St. Timothy with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.
