O'Rourke, Richard C. age 86, of Blaine, MN. Died November 21, 2016.

Preceded in death by brother Terence, sister-in-law Shirley, sister Marilyn, and brother-in-law Louis Howitz.

Dick grew up in northeast Minneapolis. He received his bachelor's degree from the College of St. Thomas and master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Minnesota. He taught for many years as Professor of Biology at Winona State University.

Survived by nephews James Howitz of Blaine, MN, Mark Howitz and wife Carol of Buffalo Grove, IL, Christopher Howitz and wife Brenda of Tucson, AZ, Kevin O'Rourke of Hobart, IN, nieces Karen Renz and husband Vincent of Cedar Knolls, NJ, Kathryn Voorhees and husband William of Covington, KY, Mary Braxtan of Ramona, CA, Lisa Doering and husband David of Nunica, MI, fourteen grandnephews and grandnieces, one great grandniece and one great grandnephew.

Viewing Friday, December 2, Billman-Hunt Funeral Chapel, 2701 Central Avenue NE, Minneapolis (612-789-3535) from 6 PM to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, December 3, Church of St. Clement, Jackson and 24th Avenue NE, Minneapolis, MN. Interment immediately following services, St. Anthony Cemetery, 2729 Central Avenue NE.
