Aunt Mary Jane was my favorite aunt, probably because she always remembered the cousins when she visited at Christmas. She gave me over 30 stuffed monkeys, some of which she made, and I treasured my monkey collection.
I visited her in San Diego several times. I'll never forget the 1st time when Uncle Roy took us to Tijuana. The 2nd time was on a cross country bus trip with high school friend when we were 17. Mary Jane told me something during our stay that I can't remember, but I never shoplifted since...she probably kept me out of jail!
I also played golf with her when I started back golfing in my 40's. So, in her 70's she kicked my butt, gave me some good pointers and found my first decent set of clubs, that I bought used from one of her friends.
After she moved back to Mpls, I played Scrabble with her every time I visited and encouraged her to play all the cousins who would play with her, trying to keep her mind going...
I will miss my aunt Mary Jane.

Aunt Mary Jane was a wonderful woman, caring and full of humor and compassion. She had many talents and will be greatly missed by all as she joins the rest of her family in Heaven. Strong athlete she was the last woman standing. Love you Auntie!
