I knew john for 20 yes. I saw him working while he was in treatment. It was always good to see him. He would go around repairing things and keeping the water clean at the lab emergency showers and eye washes. We had lots of laughs together about life. In your grief there is comfort. Jesus said this: Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.
I would encourage the family to call out to the Lord Jesus Christ the Prince of Peace, especially when it is so close to Christmas. May you all find peace.

I worked with John while he was with Hillcrest and then Bio-Techne. He had a beautiful smile, a positive and helpful personality and was always there to do work that was needed.
